Welcome to the College of Letters & Science (L&S) Undergraduate Academic Deans’ Services! 

MISSION: L&S Academic Deans’ Services (ADS) helps L&S students reach their academic potential, strengthens UW-Madison through campus-wide partnerships and collaborations, and ensures the enduring value of a UW-Madison degree in its interpretation and implementation of policy.   

Academic Deans’ Services fulfills its mission by: 

  • Providing accurate and comprehensive information about L&S academic rules and processes.  
  • Ensuring registrations and records for L&S undergraduates accurately reflect updates to degree programs and enrollments. 
  • Supporting all L&S undergraduates in their pursuit of a UW-Madison degree through outreach, consultation, and connection to campus resources. 
  • Offering an inclusive and welcoming environment for individualized consultation and support to students and their families, staff, faculty, and campus partners. 
  • Making discretionary decisions when policy or curricular exceptions are requested. 
  • Collaborating in the development and evolution of UW-Madison and L&S Policy.
